KARPALOLIKÖÖRI
( Cranberry liqueur )
A Finnish liqueur
Alc.20 vol.%
Sugar 340 g/l

| Colour: |
A clear dark redbrick liqueur which swirls viscously and lightly. A genuine shade. |

A lasting flavour. The rough aroma of cranberries is well balanced with alcohol. A straight, slightly strawberry-like essence of ripe cranberries grown in wet soil. |
| Taste: |
A good stem of sharp acids and pure aromas. No traces of sugar left and the alcohol does not penetrate too much. Good balance with plenty of ripe and pure large berries. It corresponds to the impressions related to the flesh and flavour of a genuine cranberry. The long after-taste typical of the berry is revived again and again in the taster’s mouth. A light entirety which is accentuated when chilled and smoothens when warmed up. It can be served, like a sweet wine, with a well-moistened layer cake, icy vanilla ice cream flakes or on its own as a toast. A superb dessert after the creamy gravies of game dishes or root crop casseroles. It could also be served, instead of an intermediate dish between the starter and the main course, as a toast decorated with juniper sprigs. |
