| Colour: | The liqueur has a clear and bright blackish-purple colour. It seems light and swirls nicely in the glass. |
| Nose: | The aroma resembles that of blackcurrant bushes, gently fringed with leaves and sprigs. The broad flavour typical of blackcurrants has become luxuriant, with a mellow- ness that suggests autumn. |
| Taste: | The taste is friendly, welcoming. It has none of the bitter sharpness and pungency of berry pips, and the taste of the berry flesh is enriched by the soft tannic effect of the skins. In spite of its sweetness, the liqueur has a light character and its own gentle nature. This liqueur could also be used as an aperitif served well before a meal or in ma- king up kir, where it blends nicely with a chilled white wine, e.g. HILIKUNKUIVA MANSIKKA, and in punches to enrich the taste and appea- rance. |
